US Defence Contractor Type K helmet WW2

US protective Skullgard Type K helmet made by MSA (Mine Safety Appliances Company). Originally these helmets were developed for use in mining, building or industry. On the front it has the logo of USS American Bridge Company which still exists today. On their website you can find that during WW2 they were a big defence contractor, 100% of their capacity was used for the war effort. They constructed LST's, aircraft carriers, cargo ships, etc... I can't find an exact date on the label, but it mentions other patents until 1943 so this one probably dates from around 1943-1944.
