Vintage motorcycle helmet 1950's

A very nice example of a vintage half bowl motorcycle helmet constructed of leather and cork. It's a bit hard to say how old it exactly is but we assume at least late 40's - early 50's, since in the late 50's hardshell helmet started to become more common. Condition for its age is very good, the leather is supple, there is no damage to the helmet itself and even the liner has minimal signs of wear. Only slight flaw is that the white leather is missing from part of the chinstrap, but this is hardly visible when when displayed.
